A striking shot, Mario. The capture with the mouthful in the beak is a masterful bit of timing. Well composed, too, with the droplets spraying up behind the skid across the water's surface. Very nice and complemented with an informative note.

Thanks for taking us along,
Jim

You really nailed this one with that super fast shutter speed and quick action on your part. The red bill clutching its prize is a great focal point. Nice work.

Hello Mario,

What a wonderful action shot!
I can almost see the water splashing up behind the bird's feet!
Perfect timing and good details ... even if a little gruesome, the blood dripping from the fish's head.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Excellent action picture of Caspian Tern with great composition and capture of the right moment. You have managed to freeze the movement very well, details are pin sharp and DOF and lighting are just perfect.

Hello Mario,
Good work! The moment is superb.
Technically well done; well the eye disappears a bit into these blacks but that's all right 'cause
all the rest is very good. For example the highlights aren't blown.
Another good element is the sharpness. 1/6400= a lot of light:-).
