| Este es un Carpintero macho de Hoffmann. 18cm, 68g. La hembra no tiene la mancha roja en la coronilla. Este individuo busca insectos en el poste de una cerca...Viven desde el sur de Honduras hasta Costa Rica. A veces se clasifica en el género Centurus. En Costa Rica se sabe que hibridiza en algunas zonas con M. rubricapillus. |
