I ragno granchio o Thomisidae sono una famiglia di ragni. Questo tipo di ragni è anche chiamato "ragno dei fiori" perché in essi vivono nei prati e giardini di tutto il mondo.

Sono ragni che non tessono una ragnatela ma sorprendono le prede attaccandole direttamente ; si spostano lateralmente come granchi da qui il nome. Le misure variano da 4 a 14 cm,e hanno un addome breve spesso troncato all'estremità e il carapace tondeggiante,i primi due paia di arti servono per la caccia e sono forti, più grandi e spinosi mentre gli altri due paia più piccoli e prettamente legati allo spostamento. I colori posso essere svariati come bianco,rosa,giallo adatti per mimetizzarsi sui fiori dove cacciano e alcune varietà possono cambiare colore. Le uova vengono attaccate alle piante in un piccolo astuccio piatto e la femmina le sorveglia fino alla morte.

Hi Sergio,

Nice photo with very delicate color tones. You cought well the moment and due to the high quality of the image photo is very good. I like the blury background thet enhace the sharpness of the main subject.

excellent capture of the action here, nice colors and details. you could have taken care of composition, here the flower stem is just in the centre cutting the frame by half. a vertical frame would have been better. i did workshop, hope you don't mind. tfs.
