Hello again Pater!
This time a syntomid moth as I see :) Interesting species, not too common in my region (but rather popular in Montenegro where I saw it many times). Good sharpness and details but this time some white reflections do not look too good.
Anyway, as always - this is interesting entomological presentation.

Hello Peter,

This is a good image of the insect. You have used very well the strong light showing very well the colors of the wings. DOF has been well chosen keeping the whole insect in focus. Nice framing too.

Hello Peter. This is a excellent close up of the colourful one. Your top View shows all the wing markings and the large light orange body ring . Good detail and bright colours. well done TFS.with interesting notes .

Hi Peter,i think that this is the most difficult insect to take!This have terribles reflections on the wings,but is always a great spectacle. Yesterday i found one same at that and i'm looking for the name,mine have red circle on the body and not yellow as your,and only 2 red points on the wings and the others white! So this is the real Syntomis phegea, Peter.
Remember I had caused a furor amongst experts like you by identifying a similar moth from India as Syntomis phegea a couple of years ago?
You have captured it from a very apt POV from which the subtle colours on its wings and abdomen are beautifully recorded.

Lieber Peter,
Sehr gelungene Darstellung des Weissfleckwidderchens, das du uns sehr schillernd zeigst. Wenn man dazu noch in Betracht zieht, dass dieses Insekt gar klein ist,ist diese Aufnahme perfekt. Syntomis phegea wohnt auch auf meiner Weide, habe es aber noch nie erwischt :-(!
