Hi Leslie,
very nice photo with great looking colour and sharp looking details. The capture is interesting as you show well, the spider is biting into the beetle's leg but given the size of the ladybird, did she not just fly away or was she done for? Here where I live there are only two ladybirds I have seen to date and they are 5 and 13 spot types,is this Harlequin Ladybird a 12 or 13 spotted creature? Well thanks for sharing this well coloured and sharp photo a of a little drama in the life of predator and prey. Bob
Hello Leslie,
A gruesome encounter!
Spiders are very interesting creatures, but I'm glad I'm not an insect!
Dramatic, detailed photography, sharply focussed and nicely composed.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Many thanks for your feedback on 'A French Delicacy'.
Great and very interesting capture... yours and the spider's... ;) Well done and TFS.
