Flawless image of Great Tit. Deeply black BG looks great, bird is sharp and colorfull, but slightly too dark in my oppinion. Very nice composition. Every shot of little bird taken by you is little gem.

A lovely shot of this always beautiful bird. Pose is wonderful. Excellent colors and details - I love the sparkle in the eye. The black background is very effective. Wish the birds would return to Tucson - only hummingbirds buzzing around. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Lovely, razor-sharp shot of this fine Great Tit! Clear, accurate markings and naural colours.

Excellent capture and beautiful shot of the Great Tit. Great detail but I do wish the top of his head was a bit better defined. Well done. I took the liberty of doing a WS copy... hope you don't mind... :)

The bird, in that fine light, looks very nice and the strong contrast with the background makes the image even more vivid. Colors on bird and pearch beneath are well rendered and matches well together.

Hi Nicholas,
great shot with a very sharp and detailed captured tit.
I like the dark background. But it doesn't work perfectly with the black head of the bird. It's a bit difficult to see where the head ends and the background begins (especially at the bottom side of the head) ;)
But great shot anyway with an excellent composition.

Another great capture from you, my friend!
I really like the "studio" feel of the shot here, even if i'm not a big fan of studio shots :) Here it somehow works very well and it brings out the best in the details and the colors of this great tit.
Very good focus and DOF here plus a good attention to the exposure settings.

TN would be a great advert for Sigma...I am impressed with that lens Nick. It and you do a superb job of colour and tonal reproduction. the length of the zoom really work well together to get the background OOF...You had it at 6.3 which allowed you some leeway... Very well seen. You are fine tuning your craft!
