Turkey Vultures uses it's sense of smell to locate carrion. The part of the brain used to process smells is signifigantly larger than that of other birds.

Relative of the stork, Turkey Vulures range throughout the United States. Feeding on fresh carrion, they have been known to feed on decaying vegetation, and live insects.

The Turkey Vulture is at high risk for lead poisoning, as it often feeds on unclaimed game that has been shot.
