Hi everyone!
Here is a Robin shot which I took yesterday in my garden.
About 2 weeks ago I put a couple of feeders and fatballs in a bush near my back door hoping for some birds to photograph. There was no sign of life until a few days ago and now there's loads of birds chomping away. The feeders have attracted Blue, Coal, Great and Long-tailed Tits, a Robin, a Wood or Garden Warbler and we even had a Goldcrest in the tree. Then I scattered some seeds on the ground and Blackbirds, Dunnocks and Chaffinches came to feed on them!
This is really good because it's not even winter yet and that's when the birds really come to feast as most of their natural food will be gone.
I just need to try and get as close as possible to them now... I might put up a tent next to the feeders and cut a hole in it for the camera, don't know what my Dad would say about that though! :-)

Anway, thanks for looking!

Merhaba Joe,
Harika bir geri plan önünde, tüm detayların sergilendiği enfes bir kızılgerdan karesi sunmuşsunuz. Renkler ve kompozisyon muhteşem görünüyor. Çok başarılı bir çekim.
Tebrikler.

Hello Joe,
A superb Robin portrait!
Technically top class with a fine dark OOF natural BG. Great pose, POV and composition.
I wish we could get hold of bird food as we have lots of small birds in the garden waiting to be fed, but the shops don't sell it until the end of this month.
TFS this beauty,
Cheers,
Ivan

Hello Joe,
This is a fabulous capture, Joe! How lovely to see the birds coming close again. We're off to buy food for the birds tomorrow! Your composition is so beautiful. Robin stands out very nicely against the dark background and I like the autumn leaf too. Technically great as always!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Joe
Lovely shot of this common garden bird. Excellent focus and detail. Look forward to seeing more shots of your avian visitors.
BTW, if you keep an eye out in the shops you can usually pick up a sheet of camouflage material of some kind for under £10 - this will save you incurring your dad's wrath by cutting up the family camping gear! ;p
I've got a sheet myself that I'm planning on installing on our balcony this winter. We have a pair of nuthatches that visit the feeders literally two feet outside our balcony doors. It'd be great to get a proper shot of them.
Kind Regards
Vinny

Hello Joe,
It could be an illustration for a book on birds. Very beautiful presentation of this cute bird, composition, natural colours and framing are perfect. Really well done
Best regards
Anne

Feeders are convenient devices to attract birds, Joe.
Unfortunately, in an over-crowded town like mine, it does not work.
Your visitor Robin has adopted a great pose and you have obliged it with this fantastic portrait.
Exceptionally sharp image with superb details and natural colours.
Well done and TFS.

Joe, this is an outstanding shot. You did a great job capturing it. Check out my Mockingbird today.

I would have to ask Nick, but this is one of the very best robin pictures I have seen on TN Joey...now that's a bit hard to say because Nick is really so good at birds, with robin being a specialty...but I'm willing he will give you a tip of the hat on this one!

Hi Joe,

Your dad might tell you to move out of the house and into the tent :-) This is one of the most beautiful Robin shots I have seen. Colors are beautiful. The details are so sharp that we can see each and every feather. The face, eye, wings, plummage and tail feathers are all picture perfect. Lovely pose on the diagonal branch, superb background and a fantastic composition.

Jane

Hi Joe,
Very good capture of Robin for the start of bird feeding season. I had to give up feeding last winter because the greedy Grey Squirelles did not just give up until they had eaten, destroyed and lost everything. I hope you have more luck. Your Robin is sharp, bright coloured, just perfect.
TFS
Cheers

Hello Joe,
Another close encounter with a Robin. Often you'll notice depth of filed issues. Not so here. So, well done.
