| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Majestically and sharp eyed this African Fish Eagle (Haliaeetus vocifer) strikes the familiar pose on a branch overlooking the Kwai River in the wilderness just outside of Botswana's Chobe national Park. The Tswana people call it Ntshu - the "Bird of the Enemy" - the reason being that its dung was used superstitionally to keep enemies away. Probably the most beautifull of all eagles, it is found near the waterways and rivers of Africa. You may also look at my earlier posting of this magnificent bird. |

Superb shot Nico!
The composition with this tree trunk is almost perfect, details very good.
This fellow looks really beautiful.
I like it very much.
WELL DONE!
Hi NIco!
What a pose! Marvellous and lordly!
Splendid photo!
I love the intense look in his eye you've captured. The tree branches frame this shot well. Very regal looking bird.
This is a very grand looking bird. Good POV. You have even got the catchlight in the eye. Head is a bit over expoesd, but nice work all the same. Well done.
