"FULL MOON".
My first posting of the moon on TN is this one: "THE 3/4 MOON".
You can discover quite a lot of details about our satellite such as Lunar Eclipse, Distance from the earth, Halo around this body, once you open the page.
To see the Wikipedia Moon Halo please enter. Now please see the one captured by the Sony DSC H9 on 12th. November 2008 at 06:39PM from our FRONT PORCH.
I'm struck in/with AWE to discover that a tiny camera, DSC H9, could have registered such minute details of an object at 384,405 Kms. away from mother Earth photographed from my office in the rear of our home.
This one, taken on 11th. November 2008 at 06:16PM., is called Bernardete's Moon. Why??? I first met her when she was merely 23 years of age wearing a blue dress, the blue as beautiful as the Alberta skies.... and within all that clothing was a small delicate petite face as cute as the Moon you are looking at in this import. It happened many many many moons ago.... yet it seems just like yesterday!!!
At 05:59PM. on 11th. November 2008 I registered Not yet a full Moon.
And to show that this heavenly object is part of "our" world I've placed this diagonalled image of the "lua" and the "Spruce" for your delight, calling it "ALMOST A FULL MOON". |
