Hi friends,

I just blew my candles today and thought i'd post something similar, thus :)

This is how one of the "chambers" from the Bear's Cave looks. I promised that i will show you some more and here you go :)

You can find some more interesting info about the cave and the fossils inside it in my last post. There you've seen the skeleton of a Cave Bear - Ursus spelaeus and here you have a view of lots of stalagmites from a sector of the cave.

The light is artificial and it's made by various spot-lights from the cave

Hope you'll like it and thanks for visiting.

Can't seem to keep up with your posting rate, time just doesn't allow me at the moment, something i hope changes soon!
Anyway, had to stop and critique this one! This reminds me of some sort of science fiction citadel - the lack of discernable scale amplifies the effect too. Great POV and good 'natural' looking lighting, whatever that is, this is in a cave!
Great shot mate, well done.

Hi Horia. Thanks for post thiss picture of a place i am not every going to see. The Lights make a fair job of making it still look natural . I wonder how long it take for the large one to form. well done TFS.

Hi Horia,
Happy Birthday :o)
I like the textures a lot. Good exposure control, colors, POV and composition. TFS
All the best,
Selen

#1 Happy B'Day and number two..an interesting array almost phallic in geology but methinks that is not a geological proper term...one more year older..just wait...soon they go by much faster...so hang on to every precious moment..and always by all means remember to share it with those of us who enjoy your work so much!
Bob

I always find such caves almost surreal. It looks quite fragile. The reflection in the little pool is nice.

I hope you many, many years of birthday candles. I hope your birthday wishes come true.

TFS
Evelynn ; )

hello horia,
view of "chambers" from the Bear's Cave is fantastic and i can never imagine anything like this, i liked the lighting, the pov and the natural colors very much,
well done,
tfs & regards
pankaj

Hi Horia
Wow, these rock formations are really unique and unusual. The soft lighting creates a nice perspective. Nature creates such beautiful art work and you've captured it in such an artistic way. The cave looks like a great place to explore. Well done.

Hello Hori,
What an amazing cavern full of stalagmites.
I have seen many of thes in my 30 year caving history, but never so many similar ones in one place.
Thias certainly is an incredible sight.
You were very lucky to visit this place.
I hope you don't mind me adding this to my 'Caves and Cave Life' theme.
Perhaps you'd like to add your other cave photos too.
Cheers
Steve

Salut
A fost ziua ta?? Pai LA MULTI ANI atunci!!Ok, in fotografie sunt mult mai multe "lumanarele" decat varsta.
Imi place fotografia.
Toate cele bune, Oana

Hi Horia!

It's different from your last posting: this time it's harmonic with beautiful shapes and patterns. The light, although it is artificial, is superb and your exposure settings certainly helped to create these soft colour tones. Moreover, the effect of all these little statues is magnificent. How long are they already waiting there... and what for?

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Horia,
I am too late, but still a happy birthday my friend. I've been trying to count the candles but I think that in this photo there are more candles than on your cake.
The artificial light surely helped you to capture this wonderful scene. I've tried a similar thing in Slovenia, but the lighting was worse. Having so many subject, it is hard to get a good composition. But, by using the little pool of water you certainly created a good one.
TFS,
Niek

Hello horia.

Very intersting and original shot mate. Nice lighting and good pov.
For some reason it reminds me of the terracotta army, dont ask me why.

Hi Horia,
"Grattis på födelesdagen" as we say in Swedish, Congrats on your birthday.
A very nice picture from a cave with lots of stalagmites.
I remember when I visit a cave in Spain near Nerja, a big cave
with thousands of stalactites, it was amazing.
The light may be artificial but it's nice and the sharpness and details are also good. I like the deep and DOF too.
Well done, my friend.

Happy Birthday Horia!!!! :-)))

Wow!! That's amazing!
I remember going to a place called Cheddar Gorge several years ago and we went into a cave that had stalagmites but they weren't anywhere near as impressive as these!
They really are like candles! :-))
Very good light.
Superb composition.
Shame about the railings but they're not very distracting and in places like this: what can ya do? :-)

Cheers mate,

Joe

p.s sorry the points seem to have dissapeared! :-(

What an intersting cave. Details are perfect, good composition, colours and sharpness.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hi Horia
This time a geological presentation. Fantastic cave. Another great contribution tn TN gallery.

Hi Horia,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY young man..Wait until you have to blow out 55 candles ;}

Very interesting subject this..We have similar caves not far from here I've never visited.
Perhaps before too long I'll make the trip.
You've composed this well, and managed a difficult exposure scenario like an seasoned expert :)
Well done & have a great weekend!
Howard

Hello Horia, very interresting scene with a beautiful lighting, good details and exposure, first class my friend!

Mario

Happy belated birthday Horia, sorry I did not catch this sooner as I was off in la-la land with my head turned inside out. Fantastic image! The lighting shows just the right amount of detail for one to admire the stalagmites in awe. Well Done! I hope your not as old as there are stalagmites representing candles, you'd be an ole crusty man.(lol)
Paul:)
