Hi all,

This is my post after a long time and i would like to post a picture of this magnificent mountain that I shot on Sunday. This is The Jungfrau (German: "maiden/virgin") is the highest peak of a mountain massif of the same name, located in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps. I shot this from a beautiful village called Mürren! Which is a marvellous mountain village with no public cars!!

I used a polarizer filter on a nikon 28-105 lens to get the details of the small clouds in the sky.

Hope you ppl will like it!

Regards,
Goutham R

Hello Goutham,
How are ya...:-)
You photographed this 'virgin' pretty well...
Definitely another photo of the Jungfrau in terms of point of view, compared to the photos we often see.

Hello Goutham, I haven't seen your pictures yet but what a come back! Extraordinary picture with beautiful light, I love the white peaks illuminated by the sun afar. The line of dark tree at the bottom of the frame makes your composition very stylish and simple at the same time. Beautiful,

Francine

Hello Goutham
Now how can you end your note with a statement like "Hope you people like it!". Now I ask you, who in their right mind won't like it? It is an absolute spectacular view. You must have been thrilled to see this in real and have the opportunity to photograph it. The sunlight shining in the middle of the majestic mountains does wonders to this already special image and scenery. It is a sheer delight to feast ones eyes on this magnificent view, to observe, admire and appreciate this total enormity of nature that unfolds in front of ones eyes via your lens. Thanks for sharing this special moment captured. Just to think a village with no public cars! That must be amazing.
Best regards.
Anna

Hello Goutham,
Very beautiful view on the Jungfrau, taken from a good point of view. The choice of Mürren was indeed a god one! I like also the way the sun just illuminates a few parts of the mountain. Are you still in Switzerland? I was expecting your call, but I have to say that I was ill for a few days.
Hope you enjoy(ed) your stay.
Best regards
Anne

these mountains in these weather conditions and your images...these are what dreamer wish for and what climbers of such peaks enjoy...the sheer vigor and strength all in one shot...Very nice having you back sir..
Bob

I love the light on your mountain and the silhouetted foreground trees. I think I might have preferred a bit more foreground and not so much sky weighting down the mountain. I think the mountain would appear even more grand with less sky....IMHO : )

hi Goutham,
Landscape are always difficult subject, you did fairly good job here. The shape of the mountains are not helping here much for the skies to standout and such situations the exposures are always difficult. i did a workshop to deepen the image with more contrast added. hope you will like it. tfs.

Hello Goutham
per chi come me è stato su queste montagne è sempre un'emozione vederle così ben ritratte. Bella la luce trasversale che colpisce la parete della montagna come pure l'effetto delle silhouettes degli alberi in primo piano. Tutto brn bilanciato.
