(Momotus momota) This widespread species makes makes an easy subject given its ground nesting habits, its willingnes to go to the bird feeders and their high adaptability, they even dwell in urban parks from north east Mexico to Panama, this one in particular lived in a shade coffee farm in Costa Rica.
(Momotus momota) Esta especie ampliamente distribuida es facil de fotografiar debido a sus habitos de anidar en el suelo, su afinidad por ls comederos y su alta adaptabilidad. Pueden habitar aun en parques urbanos de el Noreste de Mexico hasta Panama, este en particular vivia en una granja de cafe de sombra en Costa Rica. |

The details on the plumage are very striking. A beautiful portrait with lively colors. The background distracts the eye a little but the overall composition is amazing.
