Hi Annick,
Very beautiful landscape, like you say it is a scene directly from a movie screen, very unreal. Great POV, composition, DOF, very beautiful colours and lighting.

What an amazing scene and photo record of it. It is just wonderful... the light, the silhouetted shapes, the yellow in the foreground that ties with the yellows in the sky, the light! Was there any lightning associated with these downpours?
I really like the poster-like presentations you have been using.

I've never associated Namibia with apple pie. TN is so informative!!

Hello Annick,
Beautiful landscape shot. The scene looks magnificent. No wonder you felt like you were in a theater. one can easily imagine camera panning to focus on the hero riding on the horseback.;) Really, beautiful place and you have captured it with excellent eye. Thanks for the share,

hello Annick
For once, I would not mind the dark tone.
Simply amazing moment of nature that inspires even the least appreciative people.
Now who can say this is less nature than a wildlife or flower or insect?
Excellent work.

Hi Annick
Another very unique presentation from you, my friend!
This Namibian trip of yours seem to have been completely different than the KNP one...you have some much more of these closed-in landscapes which i'm sure can make amazing prints or calendars (not that your animals shots can't...but there are a bit rarer i think).
This, too, is a magnificent phenomenon captured here, framed superbly and exposed perfectly.
The dynamic range here is amazing, too - reaching from those VERY dark clouds to those light blues - without having to overexpose any of them.
Very good work with the colors and perspective, as well.
Bravo and TFS

What an impression. I was in Sept 08 here in the Naukluft - only sun ...
Best wishes and a Happy New Year 2009,

Hallo Annick,
Wat een schitterende en indrukwekkende foto. Fantastische kleuren.
Groet,
Peter

Hello Annick,
What an incredible and dramatic moment you've caught here. This must have been rather frightening! Fantastic colours and very well composed. Brilliant work!!
Many thanks and regards, Ulla
Indeed there is always room for an apple pie...but before Solitaire, there was another delicious thing waiting...Naukluftberge...And thank you for sharing this amazing scene Annick...theatrical, magical, ethereal, call it what you may...this was one timed up just so that you may capture it in the most magnificent PoV and compelling composition. The layers of lighting and hues unfolding in the atmosphere, the dark sky and looming clouds as if heaven almost came down and the stretch of land ahead...each element works fantastically ...
This is truly an "unforgettable" image and i would love to add this to my theme "unforgettable".I look forward to your scape photography in 2009 as much as your wildlife works.
Wish you and family a peaceful and healthy 2009
Cheers

Hello Annick
it seems nearly that the sky is in order to fall down pulling down itself on the earth burned from the sun. Very beautiful the dark tonalities that contrast with the blue of the sky on the background.
Great capture
