hello anil,
fine capture of the Bay-Backed Shrike, i feel that being a birder is quite difficult and you manage with great shots, the dof is precise and the oof bg looks great, fine management of exposure , well composed shot,
well done,
tfs & regards

Hi Anil,
Excellent capture, beautiful light and great portrait of this shrike. I can understand the difficulty in capturing these active bird and you got the eye part perfectly which is bit of like to the image. Very pleasant colors in the background and of the bird too. Good new year beginning. Wish to see more lovely images. tfs.

Hello Anil,
Both technically and esthetically this is an excellent capture of a Shrike. The compositionis also perfect on the narrow torny twig against a superb OOF natural green BG.
When I saw this it looked familiar as I have seen this species in Goa, which I took to be the Long-tailed Shrike (Lanius schach) because it has a grey back. As the Bay-backed has a brown back I wonder if you have the right ID here?
Thanks for sharing this wonderful image.
Best wishes to you and to Smitha,
Ivan

Hi Anil,
Excellent capture of this L.T. Shrike.
A picture plenty of nice light, fine details on the bird's plumage and a blurred background that pop up the best of the subject.
I like also the framing and composition.
Congratulations and thanks for share.
My best regards,
JM

Anil,
I am stunned. We have tried our best to get closer to the Shrikes with not much of success. This is excellent, with such a lovely perch and a contrasting fresh background.

Superb capture of this Shrike I have seen for the first time, Anil.
Great POV, focus, colours and details on the subject.
The thin twig the bird is perched on adds to the beauty of this composition.
Thanks and regards.

Hello Anil,
Good portrait. When I see a shrike I always look at their bill first and afterwards what they do with their prey. Looks dainty but is in fact quite brutal. Figured out I'm quite the opposite;-)
Nicely done. I never photographed a shrike let alone this specie.
Greetings and TFS
