[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here are the "bells" of Fritillaria persica (Liliaceae), as photographed today in the Lower Galilee, about 10 km north of Mt. Tabor. Many cultivars of the Fritillary are found in gardens around the world.

Each “bell” is about 25 mm in diameter. The plant may reach a height of 90 cm.

Hi Ishi,

These flowers certainly look like bells growing on a plant. They are just beautiful with wonderful colors and details. I can't remember ever seeing a striped flower before. The vertical composition is perfect.

Jane

Hello Ishi,
The bells are all very sharp through your f/16 setting. In addition there's nice light and a matching background.
Simple composition. Well done overall.

Hello Ishi,
I'm very fond of Fritillarias and this is a beautiful specimen! I had a couple of beautiful varieties in my previous garden but they're not easy to grow. I'd love to see them in the wild. Excellent close capture showing great details of the pretty bell flowers. I believe this is one of the tallest varieties?
Many thanks and best wishes, Ulla

Bonsoir Ishi,
C'est vraiement une espèce extraordinaire, avec un port très différent des Fritillaria que nous connaissons en France. Merci pour cet échange
Amicalement
Hervé

Hello Isshi,
Very pleasant picture of this special-looking flower. Fritillaria persica with all these small bells looks so cute, and you made a lovely shot of it. Very fine colors and a good composition make an excellent picture. I understand well that this flower is also cultivated all around the world.
Thanks a lot
Anne

Beautiful "bells" in subdued, pastel colours Ishi, your f/16 provided deep enough DOF to capture the whole flower head in sharp focus. TFS and cheers,
Mehmet
