In late August there were some really rainy days and then some hot ones. Perfect for mushroom hunting. Mount Pilio is a place where large varieties of those fungi grow in the forests and they are a delicacy for those that like them. Many of them are really poisonous and one should be careful to recognize the safe varieties. This one I found growing on a tree trunk and the bright colors it has is a sign that it is poisonous, but its colors were really striking so I thought of sharing it with you.

Your good photo shows Laetiporus sulphureus, without any doubt, a very common specie on the Northern hemisphere. Edible when young. Very nice pic, great focus, colors and sharpness. Bravo.

It's beautiful close up of this fungus.Exposure is spot on,details are crisp clear.I liked lighting,POV,colors and composition also a lot.
