Greater Flamingo/Phoenicopterus roseus
most birds migrate for climatic reasons,
however Flamingos for food reasons,
winter him we meet in north parts (here in the lake Kerkini),
while the summertime in southern parts (southern Spain, north Africa),
now this season they are ready to migrate southernly, again they come in September,
good travel friends


Φοινικόπτερο/Phoenicopterus roseus
τα περισσότερα πουλιά αποδημούν για κλιματολογικούς λόγους,όμως τα φοινικόπτερα για τροφοληπτικούς λόγους,το χειμώνα τα συναντάμε σε βόρια μέρη (εδώ στη λίμνη Κερκίνη),ενώ το καλοκαίρι σε νότια μέρη(νότια Ισπανία,βόρια Αφρική),τώρα αυτή την εποχή είναι έτοιμα να αποδημήσουν νότια,θα τα ξαναδούμε τον Σεπτέμβριο,καλό ταξίδι φίλοι

A fine capture of a group of Greater Flamingoes running to take off on the calm shallow lake. The reflections, composition and sharpness make this a fine image.
