[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
hello everyone,

this is my first posting in TN. i hope the photo quality is satisfying.

taken at Cameron Highlands, in a Butterfly Sanctuary, where reptiles are also kept.

the green one on top is the tree snake (common name in Malaysia). the other one i could not find its species. (sorry)

in this photo, both snakes were trying to outgo each other.

critiques, comments and ws would be very much appreciated. sorry i was not able to provide more info.

A good picture for the start, Eleen.
Good composition, fgood details and nice colours. The bright part to the left is not nice, but I think its a reflection.
Well done.

Welcome to TN.

Great first post Eleen,
Well composed, good detail and colours. Well exposed. The focus is a bit soft for me. I've done a quick WS to sharpen the image a bit.
Welcome to TN Eleen, Looking forward to seeing many more of your posts.

Welcome! Good job here! The colors are great, but the light spot is a little distracting. I would like to know a little more about the species of the snakes. Thanks for joining us!

Welcome to TN. It is a very pleasing first post. Lovely composition and colors. Interesting subject. Great post, well done.

Very nice first post in TN.
It is a interesting and beautiful scene with the two snakes, nice background and all the green palette. Good work, hope to see more soon.
Welcome to TN.

I dont really like snakes.. but inside this photo, the snakes really looks cute and nice.. i like the colors very much... .. but i dont like the 'white' part on the left.. i made a simple workshop, crop it out to improve the overall composition.

Very interesting shot, Eleen. The focus on the green snake is very sharp. Good exposure and excellent composition. Beautiful colors. Well done! Thank you for sharing and a warm welcome to TN. : )

Good first post Eleen. The head of the striped ones isn't much evident and the lightning on the left is a bit disturbing. Colours and sharpness is fine. Welcome to Tn and go on we look forward for your photos.
I prepared a workshop for you hope you like it.

Hello Eleen!
Welcome to TN.Very nice first post.Vivid colors, details, clear eyes framing and composition are wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to TN. Its interesting that you've attracted three workshops already. Don't be put off by that, it means people liked you shot but feel it could be improved slightly with a litle post-processing.
The colours are stunning and the composition is quite interesting.
Look forward to seeing more of your work here.

Bonjour Eleen, superbe photo pour une premiére, belle composition.Bienvenue sur TN. TFS Didier.

Nice and bright colour. This is a good photo of two snakes and I like the soft focus of the background it makes the subject pop-out.

Thx for your comments, Yan

Welcome to TN, Eleen. I've never seen two snakes of different breeds in such a close position. Very good colors and soft light, despite the what seemed to be a low light condition. IMO, left and a bit of top part could be cropped out for a better impact of the subject. Anyway, very promising first post. Thanks for sharing.

Eleen, this is a very nice photo.

Excellent moment; I like colors and composition.

I guess I would be afraid of them if I had to take the picture.

Which camera did you use?

Great job.

Interesting shot.

The top snake is known as a Red-tailed Ratsnake in the west and the larger bottom snake is a Temple Viper (also known as a Wagler's Viper).

This species is the one found in the snake temple in Penang. It is venomous, but it is generally docile so tourists regularly handle them. I didn't because I know better than to handle venomous snakes - docile or not!

Hi Eleen, you have a great country for this hobby. Its on my top list. For your pictures I think you have nice subjects but its a bit of distance. You can change it some with programs on the computer. But its better to notice it before you take the picture.
Its always good to provide some notes about your camera and lenses. It makes it easier for others to give you more detailed info.

Very good shot. Nice composition and colors.
Congratulations!

Very nice shot Eleen!
Maurizio
