The Andaman Islands has the highest concentration of Hermit crabs I have ever seen anywhere. There are literally millions of them on most beaches. They are quite tricky to photograph as soon as you have focus on them they come back out of their shells and start motoring off so you have to catch them just as they emerge.
Just after taking this shot a wave came up from behind me and gave me and my camera a good spraying but luckily got away with any damage. |
