| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situationbecause they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future.
The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and diffrent sun." -Christopher Johnson McCandless (From Into the Wild)
When I go to the mountains, for me it is often a new experience and in many ways I agree with the quote above that if we had the same thing every day, life would not be as exciting which in nature there is always something new under the sun wether it's exploring new places or finding out new things. |

Hi Josh,
I think I can truly say I've lived that philosophy for most of my life.
I did work when I was younger, but, after meeting my first punks in 1980,I quit my job as a cave guide at 22 to be free forever.
I haven't worked full time since.
29 years later,I've done a lot of drugs,been to prison a few times,and broken a few bones,but hell,have I had FUN!
I don't plan anything ahead, just live for each day,and I ONLY do fun things. I don't have much time for the mundane or mediocre.
I'm happiest exploring the forest, coast or mountains, and feel most alive when challenged,or even facing death.
Live is for living, not staying snuggled up safely in cotton wool.I can't understand people not just going for it and experiencing as much as they can. It seems crazy.
I'm glad I have :)
Cheers
Steve

Hi Joshua !
A beautiful seascape. Congratulations.
With a great contrast of colors.
Have a nice weekend,
Adrian
Hi Josh,
A nice change from your wonderful mountain sceneries. I like the warm tones and the empty feel of the composition. Two things that need attention. One, the horizon isn't straight and needs a correction to the left. Second, placing the sun it the center makes the composition less dynamic.
TFS,
Niek
