Dione juno.

It is a neotropical butterfly.

Name.
Juno was a Roman goddess, queen of the gods. She was also the guardian of the Empire's finances and considered the Matron Goddess of all Rome. The month of June was named after her.

Common.

Approach.
Low sensitivity to noise and approximation. Patient model.

Size.
Medium. Wingspan of about 7 cm.

Similar species.
Dryas iulia and Eueides aliphera.

Hello Paulo !
I don't know which is most beautiful - the butterfly or the flowers he is sitting on ? I love the elegant markings and shapes of the butterfly, but I also love the cheerful and vivid colors of the strange flowers. The picture is very well taken, with excellent sharpness and details, splendid composition, great POV, and a nice pose of the butterfly too. Very well done !
