The Pearly Heath (Coenonympha arcania) is a butterfly species belonging to the family Nymphalidae. It can be found in Central Europe. It resembles Coenonympha hero.
The butterflies fly in one generation from May to August.
The larvae feed on various grasses.

I love the Pearly Heath that isn't very common here in the south. This is a superb capture showing the details very sharply and the colours are lovely too. Great background too!

Masz ostatnio zatrzesienie fajnych motyli. Ten podoba mi sie chyba najbardziej. Gatunek nie wystepujacy u nas, pieknie sfotografowany, z bardzo ladnym rysunkiem na skrzydelkach. Bardzo dobra jakosc i czyste tlo.
