Cobra heading towards bull frog

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had never ever witnessed such thrilling moments in my life.
We had been to Hesarghatta early in January, at first we saw a rat snake eating this bull frog. The snake's head was almost inside a big hole. we thought it had been struck there, after a while it came out with this huge frog and we were shocked to see that. The snake was bitterly struggling to swallow this frog as it was huge. There were blood stains on this frog. After a while, a spectacled cobra came towards the rat snake and bit it. I don;t know what happened the snake through this frog out and moved away quickly. I don't know whether the cobra had injected venom or not... Now it was cobra's turn. It came towards the frog, and passed away. It did not even try to eat it.
It was a lucky day for the frog and also us!!! |
