What you have here is not Kestrel but Peregrine Falcon! If this is a truly wild bird (as opposed to one in a bird of prey centre) then it is an excellent shot as Peregrines are not the commonest and can be tricky to get close to. Good details on the feathers and a nice glint in the eye of the bird.

Sorry but this is not a Kestrel nor a Peregrine but it looks like an adult Lanner Falcon Falco biarmicus with an unusual head pattern, so possibly even a hybrid.
On the left foot you can see leather stuff used in falconry.
I personally find it unhappy that on TN it is not mandatory to choose a category wild animal or Zoo animal
