In zo'n opstelling van de vlinder, diagonaal naar rechts, geef ik de vlinder links de minste en rechts de meeste ruimte. Ofwel de richting waarin hij kijkt, de meeste ruimte.
Verder een prachtige foto in alle aspecten. Vooral het contrast tegen de achtergrond is schitterend.

Hello Lou,
An excellent capture of a male M. jurtina, taken from a great POV to show its open wings with superb sharpness, colours and lighting. The dark sex scales on the inner part of the forewings are well shown here and the contrast with the light green BG is very good.

Hi Laurens,

Wow, what a wonderful macro shot of the so soft and warm colored butterfly! The sharpness and the POV are just ideal, and the DOF is very well managed. The dark brown color of the butterfly gives great contrast to the light green leaves. The eyes of the butterfly are one of the best parts of the picture. Very well seen!

you are right, you have captured this meadow Brown perfectly in a rarely open wing pose, crisp clear details but what i like the most is the beautiful color contrast between the chocoloate brown butterfly and the bright green BG

An excellent and fine shot of Maniola jurtina. This butterfly is quite difficult to photographe well. Here the use of flash seems to have been of great help. Simple and beautiful shot.
