[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A scarce winter visitor on our shores, mostly on rocky dams. Always when shooting these guys you'll get cold fingers from the wind but a nice shot and show when they are at ease and foraging. Many shots fail due to some critical part moving. This one at a low abgle is one I am more please about

Hallo Jeroen,
Dit is een opname om jaloers op te worden. Hoe krijg je dit zo voor elkaar? Het lage standpunt en de foto van zo dichtbij is uitzonderlijk. Als deze vogeltjes je zien gaan ze gelijk op de wieken.
Een prachtige foto waarin alles klopt. Schitterende belichting, focus, diepte en scherpte.

P.S. Ik had vandaag ook al een vogelfoto van de afgelopen winter geplaatst. Momenteel geen echt goed fotografeer weer voor vogels.

Very nice close up. All the details of plumage are sharp in natural colours. Although environment is blurred but also is very pleasant.

I am very impressed by this fine capture of the Purple Sandpiper. You must have been close to it to take it with such a fine quality in this almost frame-filling image. The sharpness, colours, POV and ligghting are top class!

Good shot of this uncommon shorebird, I can't recall seeing it on TN before. Great low down POV. Excellent sharpness and plumage details. Good composition amongst the rocks.
