The detail is very fine and the colors are very natural looking. Perfectly exposed with great DOF and excellent exposure!! Loves those big Eyes!

Hello Greg,
you are right, the days are shorter and shorter with bad light,
and the snow and cold are around the corner.
Surviving the long winter? we have differnt wasy to do it.
I use to build a hide and feed the birds but not this year.
We will take a long (2 months) trip to Cyprus to escape from the cold winter. :-)
About the picture. A nice and decent close-up with good sharpness. Well exposed with fine and natural colours.
Nice work. old friend.
Greetings to Joanna and Jr.
Regards
Gert

Hi Greg
Nice to finally see another post from you, my friend. I hope you've been well :)
You mentioned some time ago that you might post a d-fly that you found as new for your nice Botanic garden...but i don't think this is it. This looks to be a Sympetrum vulgatul due to its yellow stripe from the legs and the longer black patches on the nose that come down parallel to the eyes.
Anyway, this is a lovely close-up from you, with plenty of DOF to help us enjoy all the little details of this darter.
The details are pin sharp and the light and colors are lovely, too.
Great work, mate!
Bravo and TFS
Horia
