bellissima Pieris in una meravigliosa composizione, secondo me si tratta di P. rapae in quanto il nero apicale in P. brassicae arriva a coprire interamente la nervatura fino alla corrispondenza della macchia (comunque rimane a te il giudizio complessivo in considerazione delle dimensioni o di altre immagini con prospettive diverse); eccellente definizione e bellissimi colori con un ottimo contrasto sullo sfondo scuro.

Hi Anne. I think after the cold weather we have had today the butterflies will be gone for this year. This was a beauty taken in september.Taken with fine detail andnatural colours. With a nice pose on the daisy like flower. Well taken TFs.

ich habe es heute schon bei einem anderen Pieris- Bild gesagt (Lorenzo, cobra112) : gut, dass Ihr nicht den starken Kontrast aufgehoben habt in PS, und dass Ihr dem Weiss viel Respekt zollt. Der leicht grünliche Hintergrund ist sehr wirksam. Die Schärfe ist auch nicht von schlechten Eltern, mit nur f/8 eigentlich erstaunlich. Ich glaube ich muss selber über die Bücher ...

That's a great shot of the big white. The whites are perefctly exposed, always a difficult thing to get correct.
A perfect cokmposition on this big white daisy too. Amazing DOF has captured every fine detail of flower and butterfly. One of your best shots IMO.
