[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Portuguese]
A weevil is any beetle from the Curculionoidea superfamily. They are usually small, less than 6 mm (¼ inch), and herbivorous. There are over 60,000 species in several families, mostly in the family Curculionidae (the true weevils). Some other beetles, although not closely related, bear the name "weevil", such as the biscuit weevil (Stegobium paniceum), which belongs to the family Anobiidae.

Wonderful bug!
Great details and colors.

Hi Erio,

Well composed and interesting insect!
It is unusual for me to see the insect that has a red head in the body of black white. It draws out a good effect in the whole catching the insect that exists in a diagonal stalk, I think. If I say the desire a little technically, it's better to increase the contrast a bit between the front and background. I tried a workshop, yet this is my personal taste and I hope that you don't mind.

Regards,
mikio
