[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Cichorium intybus, known as Wild Chicory or "Blue Sailors " is one of the most beautiful plants of Polish dry meadows. Its flowers are open in the mornings or during the cloudy days and they close in full sun. The chicory can survive in places, where other plants can't withstand, like heaps of rubble and dry roadsides. Polish name of this plant - "podrķżnik" means "traveller" and is allusion to the places, where the plant occurs.

Marku na Twoim zdjeciu widac, ze to prawdziwy kwiat podroznik, chce jechac stopem i nie ma "cykora" ;) Super portret, zdjecie z charakterem. Zaciekawilo mnie wlasnie skad sie wzielo okreslenie "podroznik"?! Jest bardziej intrygujace niz np. "przydrozna". Nie znasz dalszych losow tej cykorii? Dojechala do celu?
