I know just how hard these wee beauties are to capture. You have done a great job. Lovely close details. Good depth of colour. Light was in your favour. Only nit, focus is soft. Good job just the same and well worth 2 points considering the effort that needs to go in to photograph these charachters.

This looks more like a painting to me than a photo Erich. He looks so big, a little soft, but I think you've done a good job on it. Well composed, good lighting and his colours and details are great. Well done.
I posted one once - our cat caught it, and I photographed it while it was recovering and before if flew away! That's the only way I could catch one - send the cat out to hunt one for me!

Hi Za, this looks just a little soft, maybe because it was jumping around so much, but it is a lovely image. Great exposure really bringing out the colours and lovely composition.

I'd like to have seen more space above and to the left of the silvereye, the framing is a bit tight for me. Still a wonderful capture.

Hi Erich,

This is a good picture and you captured the bird well. You know by now that I like a picture to be a bit sharper than what you like, but I think that is just personal taste. Nice focus and blurred BG. Well done.
