[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Going for a stroll in a park in a suburb leading down to the sea, and this is what we come across. This is not deep in the wilderness! This is actually the suburbia of North and West Vancouver, just across the bay from Vancouver proper. However, these two cities are nestled between the sea and the Coastal Mountains, wherein lie lots of black bears - Ursus Americanus. These ursi roam casually down into people's gardens. Everyone has a collection of bear stories. Fortunately few are gory. As newcomers to this area, we were astonished by this bear problem. See my next posting for how the cities deal with the ursi.

Eep! I'm from North Vancouver, and I didn't know about it ;)
Definitely useful information for me, wouldn't you think? Hehe.
