I came across these fungi in the woodland surrounding our house. It was very late in the afternoon in March and at a particular time, for about 5 minutes, the setting sun highlighted the fungi and illuminated them beautifully. At any other time, they were totally in the dark becuase the sun set on the other side of the woodland and it was simply a chance ray of sun light finding them.
The photo has been cropped, touched up using a clone brush and sharpened a little, but no contrast/brightness/gamma changes have happened.
It was taken on my first 'play' digital camera a FujiFilm Finepix 1300, so no filters etc, but I did use a tripod. The properties summary of the orginal reports an ISO equivalent of 125. |

HI emma, the lighting here is good and your fungi have come out so good. Very pretty patterns, well shown, thank you.
