Bodeča neža - CARLINA ACAULIS
This flowers are used by some to predict the weather. The flower heads are opened during sunshine and closed at night and during rain.
I took this photo in Julian Alps. It is a well known mountain plant in Slovenian Alps.
The Carlina thisle (english name)- bears large flowers with silver-coloured ring of the inner petals, framed by the rose of speaky leaves lying flat on the ground. |

Good shot! You've captured this thistle very well. I particularly like your off-centred composition. Sharpness and DOF are good too. My only slight thought is that I'd like the image off centre the other way, so that the flower head points into the image rather than out. Anyway, that's only a minor thing. Very well captured :-D

Je vais être un peut dur mais pour ma part ce n'est pas un très bon shout car déjà cette fleur se perd dans tout ce décors, trop de decors peut être meme.
En plus l'heure choisie n'étant pas la bonne pour ce type de sujet (Soleil au zénith) l'image se retrouve trop exposée et les tons clairs sont durs.
Le cadrage est bon par contre car le sujet est placé sur un point fort de la photo.
La critique est faite pour avancer.

Very nice shot, Tjasa. It is very different from the thistles I am use to seeing around my region. I like the texture shown in the center. Very good composition and POV. Well done and a belated welcome to TN :-)
