[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Zebras are strong, beautiful creatures, and are fast runners. When it comes to hunting or surviving a predator, its running speed can mean the difference between life and death. They can run as fast as 40 mph when measured for maximum speeds over approximate quarter-mile distances.
Zebras must be constantly wary of their predators such as lions and hyenas. Their running speed is an adapted ability in the wild to outrun those who hunt them. The zebra's stripes can confuse its predator by making it appear indistinct and distorted from afar, and also during movement.

Hello George,
Taking such an action shot of a running Zebra using only 1/30 sec speed must mean that your panning technique is superb!
The moving legs are nicely blurred with the action of running to give the sense of speed while the head and body are sharp. The vegetative BG provides good contrast and show that the plants in SA have a bluish tinge! :))
Good work George!
Have a good evening,
Ivan

Hi George!
What a wonderful image of Zebra which is running! Your capture with the panning effect is great. One can admire the movement very well by the mane, the tail and legs, which are blurred, while the body and the head are perfectly sharp.
Congratulations.
Ciao! Vanda

George, this is a superb panning... a technique am poor in (not tried much though). so hats off. good shot. and thanks for sharing.
Ruby

Hi George,
A Perfect action shot with the moving parts (legs) blurred and your focus still on the right spot. Were you panning? The shutter speed suggests a tripod compared to the Zebra. Nevertheless, a perfect action shot as would be expected of you!!!
Best regards,
Carl

Hi George,
