[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was one lucky shot in a series I took on a walk near Nowra NSW. I was attempting to shoot the variety of Harlequin Bugs and their beautiful colours and had tried to get some macro shots.
These two guys met on the branch I was focussing on and the light was just perfect as they stood up. It may have been a friendly greeting but it looked more like a territory dispute to me.
I have recently done a photoshop course but only have a trial version at the moment so I have cropped the image and sharpened it.

Well captured moment of the "fight". And nice colours of the insects! Greetings! Michal

What tremendously beautiful beetles. Their shells are almost irridescent. Just an idea, but it might look kind of cool if you rotated the picture to the right so it looked as if the beetles were standing straight up. You can see the motion in their legs and antannas. Great work. Giuseppe

Hi Michelle, I did what Guiseppe suggested, see my workshop, and it does look so funny - the beetles are standing upright and boxing each other.
These Harlequin Bugs are quite attractive, nice colours. Good shot of them, nice and sharp too. Well done.

That is a great shot, very unusual pose for some unusual bugs. They are very colorful. Sharp details and wonderful POV. Well done and TFS. : )
