[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this in a morning after a rainy night.
The damselfly are a bit cold and try to get some sunbeam to dry and be warmer. I used a monopod for this, it's better than handheld camera but with my big tripod I had get a better sharpness.
I hope you like it.

Sigma 180/3.5 macro EX HSM,
ISO 400, Raw-format, One-shot autofocus. Manual exposure.
Convert, Levels, Contrast, Crop, resized to 800 pixels, USM on the B/W channel in lab-colours. I used Adobe Photoshop CS2 for PP, NI 5 pro+ plugin.

Hello Gert!
Very nice close up,razor sharp and crisp clear.Lghting, colors,POV,framing and composition are excellent.
TFS....:-)

Hi Gert,
What I like here is the very good regularity in the light. With these, there are often some too bright spots and too much light contrast. Here, probably due to an overcast sky, you get the ideal conditions for shooting. Very well done at 1/50 and a focal distance of 180mm. Even with a monopod, you sure have stable hands :-). Nice tiny drops on the body. Well done my friend.

Very good macro, Gert.
Very sharp and clarity, excellent colour.
TFS!

Hi Gert!

Nice macro of this cold damselfly. What I like is dew on its hairs and wings. Good details, diagonal composition, light.

ps. colder and colder in Poland, shorter days and no sign of butterflies. I hope winter won't be as long as last year...

Väldigt bra Gert! I like it a lot! Perfect composition. Hur fick du den fina bakgrunden?

what an amazing macro shot of this damselfly. wonderfully detailed yet so simple.

Hi Gert,
of course, I like it.
It seems as the damselfly is looking curious, what you are doing. I like the small drops on it and on the leaf.
I never had the chance to see a damselfly at a rainy day or in the morning and I would like to know what they are doing at rainy days or where they are sleeping :-) O no - what am I writing here - only nonsens, sorry.
Thanks for your pretty fly, bye

Excellent work brother.
No more dragons or damsels here. I save one red dragonfly from drowning two days ago and I didnt saw anyone yesterday and today. Kaput!
Near to me, there are only squirrels, ducks and gulls to be photographed. I shall soon have to draw from my archives.
Thank you Gert.
