| These are the fruits of European Spindletree (euonymus europaea). The shrub blooms in May/June with small white flowers. In Sept./Oct. it bears scarlet fruits which contain orange coloured seeds, which are toxic. In former times the hard wood of the branches was used to make spindles. |

Hi Roland,
was für eine Farbenpracht, früher hat man bei der Mode gesagt, pink und orange passen nicht zusammen. Die Natur hat da immer schon besser gewußt was toll wirkt. Wir sagen dazu Pfaffenhütchen, bei Euch auch?
Ich hatte kürzlich auch eines eingestellt.
Wirklich ganz toll, letzte Sommergrüße, jetzt wird's kalt, schade.
