Very interesting shot. This is a snake I have never seen posted before.
It is either Coluber ravergieri (the Leopard or Camel snake) or possibly the Spotted Snake (Coluber karelini). I think it looks more like ravergieri. Both species occur in Western Iran.
Nice to see some shots of lesser known animals on here!

Looks dangerous to me! Very good picture, but what had happened if you had stepped on the snake? Is it poisonous?
