Monarch Butterfly 02

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Another classic photo of the fascinating monarch butterfly taken while trying out the Canon Rebel XT of a friend. It was a very windy day so I set the camera at ISO 400 on aperture priority at F/8. The camera chose a 1/1000 shutter speed.
I hesitated before posting this shot because I was not sure about the vertical format with the butterfly way at the bottom. I would appreciate your critique regarding the composition. Thank you. |

Hi Daniel,
It's a very nice picture with nice colours and good details.
I like the POV and the DOF too.
I'm not sure about the format, I prefer a landscape format for this type of pictures, but thats me.
Very well done.
Hi Daniel
Nicely composed shot. Vibrant colours. I like the portrait format but think it is a tad too high, but that is just my opinion and it doesn't change the fact that you have posted a great shot.

wow! great colors. the colorful b-fly against a yellow "fire" around make a nice contrast. focus is very well on subject. very intresting vertical composition. congratulations
I very much like the vertical flow to this photo, Daniel, as you have filled it with a beautiful colored flower and BG.
Well composed, great details and lighting, nice POV.
Great job, and thank you.
Hello Daniel,
a wonderful butterfly with mad contrast to the background and more captivatingly sharpens.
best greets from Germany,
