The red hornero (Furnarius rufus) is a likeable bird, that does not fear to the neighborhoods of the man. It always walks in pair and one settles the same in a telephone post that in the cornice of one house. Their flights are, generally around the nest, to look for materials for their construction or food for pigeons, never moves away, in the ground walks to the small jumps.

It measures between seventeen and twenty-two centimeters in length and weighs about seventy and five grams. Their wings short and are cleared; it has long tail and general tip in more length than the head; they present a nervous and slight behavior. Its color is brown, with reddish neck, white throat, sure brown chest whitish belly and reddish tail.

They are great insectivora, they look for its Earth food, between the leaves or in the plowed fields. They eat insects mainly: butterflies and larvae of butterflies, ants, spiders, worms, lobsters, escarabajos, this way collaborate with the agriculturist, since they eliminate the insects detrimental for the plants and add to this regime: seeds, berries and, sometimes, I very bring forth vegetables to tier to us. They build his nest in land or the proximity of the ground, between the shrubs or in posts of fencings.

It must be Winter time - the syringa berries are dry. I like the shot and the little light reflection in the eye is nice. Good detail in your note too. Your focus seems to be on the body , causing the focus on the head to be a tad on the soft side. Very nice capture and great note.

Good one Ricardo.
Very nice color and very sharp.
The composition is good.
Only one thing i dont like, it's the shadow of the bird.
Great note
Well done

This is a nice LBJ in the Siringa Tree. I like the look it is giving you here! The only small nit is the branch starting out of the corner.
PS will download the duck tonite and try and mail you tomorrow.

Very nice composition the warm colours are great and I like the branch going across from bottom to top ad left, as for the shadow on the bird I quite like it, makes the bird appear like it is trying to hide. Good one Ricardo.

Very nice catch, Ricardo, in lovely warm colors and a fine composition with the diagonal made by the branch, and the bird well plaed in the lower right area. I like the sparkle in his eye, well captured.

Excellent composition, great warm colors, expressive bright eye of the bird. Well done, congratulations !

Hi Ricardo.
Simple and very nice composition created by minimal means. The combination of pictorial tree branch and cute bird is wonderful. Lighting is very expressive too as well as the expression of the bird face and its pose. TFS and best regards.
Alexei.
