this tree is not an oak. only the wood looks very simular as the european oak when used for furniture.
the dessert oak stays like that for 20 - 30 years and then start to grow like a real tree.

Luk, this is so unreal. Fantastic coloures and fom strange trees, like in some alien planet. Bravo and thanks for share with us.

Hi Luk,
The complementary colours really draw the attention. I like the diagonals, but I think a clear visual anker where the diagonals start of (two bushes in front - which one?) or meet (line where they would meet is just outside of the frame) would improve the composition.
As is, it is a good shot, well done!
