Great shot. We have these everywhere in Shanghai. Actually I think they are everywhere in Asia. I have never gotten a shot with such great light! Well done.

Excellent pose with beautiful lights and details. The textures are really plesant to look at. Super work, very well done.
In the background, noise begins to be slightly visible, so I dared a workshop to get rid of it. Hope you dont mind. Thanks for sharing.

Chi, there seems to be some little noise on the bg, but I guess the blur tool could easily remove it.

Apart from that, an excellent capture. Great sharpness, pov and pose. Besides, a lovely catchlight.

I like the green bg too.

Wonderful warm colours and good detail so even the fine details of the eye can be seen. The lighter green behind the head focuses the attention there - in addition to the obvious natural eye-catcher. Nice pondering look into the distance - must be the philosopher among its kind. High visual impact, very good!

Oh, I just love these little sparrows. In NL the house sparrows are endangered. Can you believe that? Because we isolate our houses too well, the house sparrow can't find decent places to nest. A while ago the shooting of a sparrow caused a riot in NL. A TV program was finishing up for the worldrecord of falling-domino-stones and a little sparrow flew into the hall and caused 30.000 stones to fall early. They shot the sparrow with a gun, but because it's now officially endangered in NL, this was against the law. Anyway, great picture. Fantastic background and good details. I do feel the picture is slightly oversharpened, but it could be just me.

A lovely bird, well captured. Beautiful blurred background and the feathers are really sharp. I would guess you have used 'smart sharpen' in Photoshop, as that works very well on fine details like feathers. The downside is that it sharpens blurred areas, like backgrounds, as we can see here.
