Another one of my seed log shots. This one I actually setup the camera on a tripod within 10 feet of the feeder and ran a remote cable back into the house so as not to be visible. Just stared out the kitchen window and fired off numerous shot in fast crop mode. Got some really excellent shots that I was quite pleased with.

Hi Greg,

Excellent shot and composition. Details are very good.
I'm concerned about your whitebalance, I know this character very well, your whites are Cyan/blue, double check your setting. How's the kelvin setting.?

Very nice Greg!
That log is giving you a lot of mileage. I'll have to keep my eye out for an interesting horizontal log.
Thanks,
Dave

Very good Gregory! The pose, composition, sharpness, light and background are perfect. Excellent work.

Hi Greg,
Really nice picture of this bird. It is standing out perfectly with the beige BG. Perfect light too as the picture is not too dark. You have all the reasons to be very happy with this one.
Superb shot !!!

I am strongly thinking about putting a log full of seeds not far from a window :-)

You'll have to patent these bird feeders. I'd buy one off you Greg, if is wasn't for my cat. Just too dangerous for the birds with her around.
Excellent shot of this beautiful Nuthatch, his colours and details are just so sharp. I love the shape of his eye too. Well done, TFS.

Hi Greg, another nice shot. The colours at the background is nice, i found the circles a bit disturbing but thats probably my inexperienced view, I had the same with another posting so wont bug you anymore.
Anyway great shot. Looking forward to the next one Reina

Hi Gregory,
The seed log is an excellent idea. I am thinking about where I can organise a suitable log already.

Perfect shot of this nuthatch, excellent colour, detail, compo. Direction of light more from the front would have been nice, but you excellently handled the subject-in-shadows situation, and the OOF highlights in the BG are a nice add-on.
2 Smileys later (I ran out for today), please remind me should I forget.
Regards,
Gabi
