[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I spent New Year's Eve at Pensacola Beach on Florida's Gulf Coast with some friends who live on the beach. Hurricane Ivan hit there September 16, 2004 and was one of the strongest storms to ever hit the Gulf Coast. The devastation is still everywhere as evidenced by these uprooted palm trees.

Hi Alli,
Your picture reflects the reality of the disaster which came over the coast in an original way. Hurricanes are also a part of nature, and the uprooted palm trees are a bit contrasting against the bright blue sky and the friendly looking sand of the beach.
I like the composition. Maybe the sharpness could be somewhat higher. Anyway a good picture. TFS and regards, Ruud

Hi Alli,
Interesting shot, well seen.
At least you had a good day before the fog arrived.
Well composed, good detail and exposure.
Thanks for posting. Enjoy the rest of the week.

Hi Alli,
Very nice shot, excellent compodition,
great POV, good exposure.
TFS!

Hi Alli,
I am always amazed by the force of nature. I like this composition and framing. Awhile back a posted a poor stripped down tree on a Beach in the Bahamas that suffered from the Hurricane effects. Every picture tells a story!

Alli, although it's a rather dramatic picture, the colors are very beautiful. Great exposure, contrast, pov and composition.

A great shot.

Nice shot Alli. I saw the same thing when I was in Pensacola. We are neighbors, I live in Montgomery, AL.
