[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Leaf-footed bug, Family Coreidae. These bugs are quite common throughout the year here where I live in Texas. As many household pets have learned the hard way (my dogs are no exception), the bugs are not to be trifled with as they can secrete a noxious odoriferous liquid when threatened. Colloquially they are known as "Stink Bugs". Shot with tripod & flash. Time of day was 10:00am in the shade. I used ISO 100, EV-.3, +2 macro filter, aperture priority with pattern metering. Gee - Hope I haven't "stunk" up your day too badly!!! :-0

Aun tengo guardada una imagen de un insecto similar a este cuando publicaste tu anterior imagen de estos bichos Howard.
Lo extraño y espectacular del insecto se realza con una excelente agudeza, adecuado POV y DOF.
Excelente encuadre y colorido.

I even have kept an image from an insect similar to this when you published your previous image of these tiny beasts Howard.
The spectacular and stranger of the insect heightens itself with an excellent sharpness, suitable POV and DOF.
Excellent frame and colorful.

A bug on a leaf! Great post. I saw these a lot at the previous town I stayed. Here unfortuanetly there are none. These are the real bugs. Great shot, tack sharp.

A very nice capture.
Great lighting and excellent sharp detail.
Very well done.

Do not say it to Gerhard, but I prefer this bug with his. And the tastes, that are not discussed! :)
The composition is excellent just as the depth of field.
Because I photograph them, I start to like them, these small animals.

Howard, thanks a lot for sending me link for me to check this photo.

Excellent sharpness and very nice pov. The green leaves are a nice contrast.
