In Denali National Park private vehicles are usually banned from the gravel road. But riding the Deanli-run schoolbusses to the end of the road is a great change to see wildlife and wild scenery. It's probably the easiest way to experience true wilderness. We saw a distant view of a grizzly bear as well as reindeer up close and personal.
This was taken on a trip in 1992. It is taken from the end of the road. Mt. McKinley is likely hidden behind these clouds.
This is a scan of a 35mm negative. PP consited of a straightening, contrast adjustment, and sharpening. |

Nice shot, forground and back ground, the two people give it some scale, I never got to see Denali from the north side either, it rained the day I took the bus. Mid summer i would think. TFS
Very rugged landscape as I imagined. Well taken. colors, contrast and sharpness all are done well Mike. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent shot Mike. The park is indeed much greener in July! Focus is very sharp and composition is pleasing. Well done & TFS!
