In Harbin you can find a tiger zoo. It is the only one in China that provides tigers with a natural environment and trains them for their natural habitat.

The story of the Siberian tiger in China is pretty much the same as the story of any large predator in an area with dense human population: man encroaches on tiger's habitat, tiger eventually gets hungry, tiger kills man's livestock, man kills tiger [or tiger dies of starvation], or perhaps even sadder and more common: poachers kill tigers, sell tiger fur and parts, make gobs of money in the process. The idea behind the Northeast Tiger Park in Harbin is to breed the animals in captivity in order to increase their numbers beyond the capacity of nature, then reintroduce them into the wild at some point.

Beautiful pic of a beautiful animal.
The snow is a plus. It enhances the beauty of the tiger. Also it reminds how adapted their fur is against cold weather. The pose is brilliant.
