This shot was taken early morning in masai mara...and our first day in safari. this elephant was walking peacefully as we neared it....but suddenly our driver joe floored the accelerator and we shot like a bullet...because on the wirless he got information that a black maned lion was spotted...so he wanted to take us there....
due to that commotion of the safari van accelerating this tusker got scared and started to run...i was able to shoot just three frames before we passed it....i like this particular one with the tree in the background...which gives a typical kenya feel...that you always have been seeing before going to kenya....hope you all liked it.

i actually wanted to increase the contrast a bit...but decided not to....sharpened and neat image for the sky area in PS

Hi,

An good picture with excellent exposure and color. Composition wise ( I would have left more space towards the elephants face rather than back!, its is purely ur choice not a comment)

I really like the composition and the title is perfect for it. He is running out of the picture which is great! And that lone tree provides perfect balance to the shot. Great! TFS
